Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook your protein (chicken, beef, or tofu) according to specific recipe directions.
  3. Sauté the veggies in a pan with olive oil until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked protein, sautéed veggies, starch, cheese, and creamy base.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle any crunchy topping on top.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Allow the casserole to sit for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Casseroles can be assembled the night before and stored in the refrigerator. Serve with crusty garlic bread or fresh green salad.
