Maple Caramelized Onions
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- When they start to soften, add 3 tbsp maple syrup and 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar.
Preparing the Mushrooms
- Clean the mushrooms and remove stems.
- Sauté them in 2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar for around 8-10 minutes until they're tender and lightly browned.
- Season with salt and pepper.
Building the Sliders
- Toast the slider buns if desired.
- Layer ingredients starting with the bun, then mustard, followed by bacon, mushrooms, onions, cheese, and lettuce.
Finish & Serve
- Serve your sliders warm with a side of homemade fries or a fresh salad.
- Arrange them on a platter with a sprinkle of fresh herbs for a beautiful presentation!
