  • 500 g frozen green beans Look for high-quality brands with no added preservatives.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Extra virgin is preferred for its rich flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For a clean garlic flavor without the fuss.
  • to taste salt Adjust according to your flavor profile.
  • to taste pepper Adjust according to your flavor profile.
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese Use a good-quality block cheese.
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds Optional, but highly recommended for crunch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees C (400 degrees F).
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. Spread the frozen green beans evenly on the baking tray without thawing.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the beans and sprinkle on garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Toss to coat the green beans evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the top of the beans.
  7. Roast in your preheated oven for about 20 minutes until tender and lightly crispy.
  8. Once out of the oven, add extra parmesan and sesame seeds for crunch.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. They can be reheated in the oven for best texture.
